London Love Story: A Chelsea Town Hall Wedding

March 6, 2025

Sarah and Shreyas chose the iconic steps of Chelsea Town Hall for their wedding, and as their Chelsea Town Hall wedding photographer, I had the brilliant job of documenting all the laughter, confetti storms, and those quiet moments in between. Shooting weddings in central London always feels special, but this one came with bonus riverside portraits and the kind of joyful chaos that makes documentary wedding photography worth doing.

Confetti on the Famous Chelsea Town Hall Steps

Every Chelsea Town Hall wedding deserves a confetti moment. So, Sarah & Shreyas had one to remember. Guests lined the steps, hands full of petals, ready to shower the couple in colour and laughter. As a result, the photographs captured pure joy. Indeed, every glance and smile told the story of their happiness.

Wandering the Streets After Chelsea Town Hall

After the ceremony, we didn’t head for the riverside. Instead, Sarah & Shreyas wandered the streets around Chelsea Town Hall. Along the way, we stopped for photos wherever the light and atmosphere felt right. As a result, the walk turned into a spontaneous photoshoot full of personality. Meanwhile, the couple relaxed and enjoyed the moment, giving me plenty of natural, candid shots.

A Saturday Reception at Doggett’s

Then, the celebrations continued on Saturday at Doggett’s, overlooking the Thames. During the reception, friends and family shared food, drinks, and heartfelt speeches. Indeed, the weekend-long celebration allowed everyone to enjoy more time with the couple. As a result, laughter and joy filled the room, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Why I Love Chelsea Town Hall Weddings

I always enjoy photographing a Chelsea Town Hall wedding. Firstly, the venue has charm and history. Secondly, the iconic steps create the perfect moment for confetti shots. Finally, the surrounding streets give endless opportunities for relaxed, fun portraits. Moreover, pairing a Town Hall ceremony with a nearby reception, like Sarah & Shreyas’s at Doggett’s, makes for a weekend full of laughter and love. London wedding photographer Chelsea
