Look Relaxed in Wedding Photos: Simple Tips

Discover simple tips on how to pose for wedding photos and look relaxed and natural, even if you feel nervous. Capture beautiful moments on your special day without stress.

Let’s get one thing straight:
Nobody wakes up thinking, “Today’s the day I become a natural in front of a camera.”
And yet here you are, planning a wedding- one of the most photographed days of your entire life - and thinking, “Oh god, I’m going to look like a confused meerkat in all of my wedding photos.”

First of all: no, you won’t.
Second of all: I got you.

I’ve worked with dozens of couples who warned me they were “super awkward,” only to end up looking like they just stepped off a magazine cover. Here's how we do it:

How to Relax and Truly Enjoy Your Wedding Photos

1. Stop Posing. Start Laughing.

You know that stiff arm thing? The weird “where do I put my hands” crisis? Forget all that.
I’ll give you prompts, not poses. Like:

“Whisper your best insult in their ear but make it romantic.”
“Walk like you're late to your own wedding but still want to look hot.”

The result? You laugh. You relax. You look like you - not mannequins with teeth.

2. The Camera Is Not Judging You (I’m Too Busy Capturing Your Good Side)

I’m not here to make you look like influencers.
I’m here to show you looking head-over-heels in love, slightly windblown, possibly holding a drink, and completely yourself.

No duck lips. No weird filters. Just honest, joyful goodness.

3. Focus on Each Other - Not Me

Seriously. Ignore me.
I’m like a ninja with snacks: quiet, present, and always ready to catch that mid-laugh, mid-hug, or forehead-smooch moment.

If you get lost in each other, I’ll get the gold.

4. Trust the Process (and Me!) and your wedding photos will be authentic

You're not supposed to know what to do - that’s my job.
I’ll guide you gently through the whole thing, keep the vibes relaxed, and hype you up when needed. (Example: “Yes! That’s the smile! Frame it!”)

5. Embrace the Weird Bits

Wind blew your hair into your mouth? Laugh it off.
Your best man photobombed your romantic moment? Iconic.
These are the in-between bits - and often, they’re the best ones.

Enjoy Your Wedding Photos Like You Mean It

TL;DR:

You’re not awkward.
You’re just not used to having a camera aimed at you on a big, emotional day.

But that’s why I’m here - to help you relax, be yourselves, and walk away with photos that make you say,

“Wait... we look amazing in our wedding photos ?!”

Let’s make magic together - awkwardness and all.
