London Wedding Photographer… But I Travel Across the UK

Based in London but photographing weddings across the UK. If you're planning a wedding outside the capital, travel is absolutely possible - here’s how it works.

I’m a London-based wedding photographer, but I regularly photograph weddings across the UK for couples who want relaxed, documentary-style coverage without awkward posing.

One thing I hear quite often when couples first get in touch through my London wedding photographer website is this:

“Do you only photograph weddings in London?”

Short answer: no.

Longer answer: I’m based in London, but I photograph weddings all across the UK. If you’re getting married outside the capital and like the style of photography you see here, distance usually isn’t a problem.

Why Most of My Weddings Are in London

London has a huge number of registry offices, town halls and wedding venues, so it naturally makes up a big part of my work.

Places like Old Marylebone Town Hall, Islington Town Hall, Chelsea Old Town Hall and Greenwich are popular for couples who want a relaxed ceremony without the big traditional venue.

Because of that, a lot of the weddings on this website are from London.

But that doesn’t mean I only photograph weddings here.

Weddings Outside London

Over the years I’ve photographed weddings across different parts of the UK - from city venues to countryside celebrations.

If your wedding is outside London, travelling is usually straightforward. Trains, a car, occasionally a very early alarm clock - all part of the job.

Couples sometimes worry that bringing in a photographer from another city will be complicated or expensive. In reality, it’s usually quite simple.

Most of the time travel just gets built into the quote so everything is clear upfront.

Why Couples Sometimes Book Me From Outside London

There are a few reasons couples get in touch even when their wedding isn’t in the capital.

Often it’s because they want documentary-style coverage without lots of posing or direction.

Sometimes it’s because they’re planning a registry office wedding in their own city and prefer a relaxed, natural approach to photography.

I also photograph weddings for LGBTQ+ couples across London and the UK, so if you’re planning a same-sex wedding outside the capital, travelling isn’t a problem.

And sometimes couples simply like the photos they’ve seen here and decide it’s worth asking.

Which it absolutely is.

Planning a Wedding Somewhere Else?

If you're getting married anywhere in the UK and you like the idea of relaxed, documentary wedding photography, feel free to get in touch.

Just tell me:

  • where the wedding is

  • when it's happening

  • roughly what coverage you’re thinking about

From there I can let you know availability and how travel would work.

Simple as that.

A wedding in Cumbria was certainly different to one slap-bang in the middle of London.
