It’s one of the few licensed wedding venues inside a Royal Park, offering a uniquely tranquil setting that feels a world away from the city while still being easy to reach.

The venue has hosted weddings for over 50 years and is known for blending history, beautiful architecture and flexible spaces with stunning natural surroundings. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony up to a larger celebration, Pembroke Lodge combines classic elegance, panoramic views and outstanding photographic opportunities throughout the house and gardens - perfect for relaxed, natural wedding photography.

Useful things to know when booking a wedding at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond

• Two licensed wedding suites
  You can choose between The Russell Suite (recommended for up to about 70 seated guests, 100 evening guests total) or The Belvedere (up to about 140 seated guests, 200 total for your evening party). Both are licensed for civil ceremonies and receptions.

• Stunning views & park setting
  Set at the highest point of Richmond Park, Pembroke Lodge offers panoramic views over the Thames Valley and landscaped grounds that work beautifully for portraits without long travel.

• Richmond Registry Office
  Ceremonies are conducted by Richmond Registry Office; you can have your ceremony and reception in the same space, giving your day a smooth flow and plenty of natural moments to capture.

• Indoor + outdoor options
  Drinks receptions are often held on the Belvedere terrace or South Lawn (weather permitting), making post-ceremony photos relaxed and natural.

• All-in-house catering
  The venue provides all food and drink (no external catering), with menus cooked fresh on site - this keeps things streamlined and avoids juggling multiple suppliers.

• Excellent photo opportunities everywhere
  From the mansion’s period details and tall windows to the gardens, grove paths, terraces and views across the park, there’s a huge variety of backdrops for both formal and documentary photography.

• Quiet natural setting
  Being inside Richmond Park means you’ll be surrounded by greenery and even wildlife, giving your wedding photos a calm, timeless quality that’s hard to find in city-centre venues.

• No onsite accommodation
  Pembroke Lodge does not have guest rooms, but there are plenty of hotels and B&Bs within a short distance if you’re staying overnight.

• Suppliers access
  Set-up for suppliers typically starts from around 9:00am, which can help with timing photos and prep shots on the day.
