Rose & Ian’s colourful Islington Town Hall wedding

Rose & Ian’s Islington Town Hall wedding was colourful, relaxed and completely unforced. Bright outfits, big smiles and no interest in turning the day into a performance.

Rose’s homemade fascinator quietly stole the show. It was bold, slightly unexpected, and suited the day perfectly - personal without being overdone. Details like that make a registry wedding feel individual rather than standard.

The ceremony itself was simple and full of warmth. Once the register was signed, everyone spilled out onto the steps for hugs and confetti. It was lively without tipping into chaos - the kind of atmosphere that comes from people who are genuinely happy rather than trying to manufacture a moment.

One of the advantages of getting married at Islington Town Hall is how easy it is to keep things moving. Instead of organising transport to their reception at The Brougham, we walked.

How I photograph small weddings

I won't over-direct you.
I won't stage fake moments.
I won't pull you away from your guests.

I simply pay attention to what's already happening.

The hugs
The laughs.
The quiet moments.
The atmosphere.
