Angela & Catherine’s Admiral Hardy Wedding in Greenwich

A relaxed pub wedding in the heart of Greenwich.

Angela and Catherine chose The Admiral Hardy for their wedding in Greenwich - a pub venue right in the centre of town, just a short walk from the Royal Naval College and the river.

It suited them perfectly. No fuss. No unnecessary formality. Just a good space filled with the right people.

A Ceremony at The Admiral Hardy

The ceremony had a great atmosphere - warm, light and genuinely fun. When it came to signing the register, there were no nerves or shaky hands. They were laughing, completely at ease, and clearly enjoying the moment. I managed to grab one of my favourite images of the day right there - a proper, unforced frame that sums them up.

That’s the advantage of a venue like The Admiral Hardy. It doesn’t need dressing up. It works as it is.

Clarence Hall Reception

After the ceremony, everyone headed upstairs to Clarence Hall. It’s the kind of space that feels celebratory without being over the top - big enough for a party, small enough to keep atmosphere.

Speeches were relaxed and personal. A few emotional moments, plenty of laughter, and stories that made perfect sense to the people in the room.

By the time the music started, it shifted naturally into party mode. Drinks in hand, ties loosened, dance floor busy. Exactly how it should be.

A Quick Wander Around Greenwich

One of the advantages of an Admiral Hardy wedding is location. Step outside and you’re immediately in the middle of Greenwich - cobbled streets, historic buildings and the Thames just minutes away.

We kept portraits simple and quick. No disappearing for half the afternoon. Just a short wander, a few relaxed frames, and straight back to everyone else.

Greenwich gives you variety without needing to travel.

Why The Admiral Hardy Works for Weddings

If you’re planning a Greenwich wedding and don’t want something overly formal, The Admiral Hardy makes sense:

  • Everything happens in one place

  • It feels central and lively

  • You’ve got strong photo backdrops within walking distance

  • It moves easily from ceremony to reception

It’s straightforward, which is often exactly what couples want.
