When Couples Ask Me Not to Share Their Wedding Photos (And Why That’s Completely Fine)
Not every couple wants their wedding photos on social media. Here’s why that matters.
Some couples love seeing their wedding photos shared on Instagram, blogs, and all over the internet.
Some don’t.
And that’s absolutely fine.
Every so often, during the planning stage of a wedding, a couple will tell me that they’d rather their photos weren’t shared on social media or on my website. Sometimes it’s for privacy, sometimes for work reasons, sometimes just because they’re not comfortable with their life being online. Whatever the reason... I completely respect it.
Your wedding isn’t content.
It’s your day.
My job is to document it for you, not for my Instagram feed.
I always talk this through with couples before the wedding. If they’d prefer their images to stay private, that’s what happens. No awkward conversations later. No pressure. No disappointment. Just clear communication and mutual respect.
And the truth is, some of the most meaningful, emotional, and beautiful weddings I’ve ever photographed will never appear on my website... and I’m totally okay with that.
Because trust matters more than exposure.

If you’re planning your wedding and you’re unsure about your photos being shared publicly, please know this: you are in control. Always. We can talk it through, set boundaries that feel right for you, and make sure everything is handled the way you’re comfortable with.
Your wedding photos should feel safe, personal, and yours.
If that sounds like the kind of photographer you’d like on your day, I’d love to hear from you.
You can book a free 30-minute consultation and we can chat through everything... no pressure, no sales talk, just an honest conversation about your plans.

YOUR DAY.
